Claro la cámara tiene una función de hacer un Custom WB y siempre lo aplicará. Calro lo vas a tener que deshabilitar cuando hagas fotografía astronómica o por el otro lado sería interesante que hicieras comparaciones que tanto afecta la fotografía astronómica.
NO necesitas ninguna tarjeta con " j " de 18%. Búscate una pared blanca y le dices que eso es blanco. Juega con esa función y verás ...
La única recomendación es de " RTFM " y en caso de que no sepas que es significa en español " LEPM "

Ya mi antigüita Canon EOS 1Ds lo tiene y esa tiene más de ¿ cuantos años ? hasta ya se me olvidó.
Por cierto. En Photoshop necesitas como 5 segundos para convertir esa imágen roja en una normal

Solution: How to set the white balance on the EOS 5D Mark II.
The White Balance feature on this camera is set to "Auto White Balance" at the time of purchase. Normally, the <AWB> (Auto) setting will obtain the correct white balance. If natural looking colors cannot be obtained with <AWB>, you can set the white balance manually to suit the respective light source.
Note:
In the fully-automatic modes ( ), <AWB> is set automatically.
To set the White Balance, follow the steps below.
1. Set the power switch to <ON>.
2. When the camera is ready to shoot, press the <WB> button.
While looking at the LCD panel, turn the <Quick Control Dial> to select to the desired style.

Auto 3000 - 7000
Daylight 5200
Shade 7000
Cloudy, twilight, sunset 6000
Tungsten light 3200
White fluorescent light 4000
Flash use 6000
Custom 2000 - 10000

< > (Custom White Balance) enables you to manually set the white balance for a specific light source for better accuracy. Do this procedure under the actual light source to be used.
